Privacy Policy
NursingAcademics.com provides nursing education materials, tutorials, dashboards, videos, and progress tracking tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can contact us about privacy questions.
Information We Collect
- Account information: email address, display name, sign-in details, and subscription access state.
- Learner information: exam date, tutorial progress, quiz results, weaknesses, readiness signals, saved checkpoints, and resume state.
- Technical information: browser information, device session information, and other operational data needed to keep the site working.
- Messages and support requests: information you send when you contact support or use community features.
How We Use Information
- To provide access to tutorials, dashboards, videos, study groups, and support features.
- To save progress and help learners return to the correct point in a tutorial.
- To generate progress tracking, remediation, recommendations, and readiness insights.
- To improve tutorial quality, user experience, and site reliability.
- To respond to support requests, account issues, and platform questions.
Storage and Service Providers
We use third-party infrastructure providers to host site data, authentication, storage, and delivery systems. These may include Supabase, Vercel, and related service providers needed to operate the platform.
When Information Is Shared
We do not sell personal information. We share information only when necessary to run the platform, provide requested services, comply with legal obligations, or protect the security of the site and its users.
Cookies and Sessions
The site uses browser storage, session handling, and technical identifiers to maintain sign-in state, progress recovery, and account access across visits. These are strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for, so they are set without asking.
Analytics cookies are different. On our public pages only — the home page, blog, catalogue, and other pages you can read without signing in — we offer an anonymous visitor-analytics cookie (Metricool) that tells us which pages help people find us. It is not necessary for the site to function, so we do not set it unless you choose “Accept”. Choosing “Reject” is equally easy and carries no penalty; nothing is loaded and no request is made to the analytics provider.
We do not run marketing analytics inside tutorials, the dashboard, or any signed-in area. Your study activity is not tracked for marketing.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat that as a refusal and never ask.
Changing your mind: you can withdraw or renew consent at any time.
AI-Assisted Content and Transparency
We tell you plainly where artificial intelligence is involved in what you study, because you are learning clinical material and you are entitled to know how it was made. This section reflects our obligations as a deployer under Article 50 of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), which applies from 2 August 2026, and it applies to every learner regardless of where you are.
Illustrations. Many anatomical and clinical illustrations on this platform are generated or edited with AI image tools. They are teaching illustrations, not photographs of real people, real clients, or real clinical records.
Narration. Spoken narration is produced with a synthetic voice. It is not a recording of a human speaker, and the voice does not represent a real identifiable person.
Written teaching material. Tutorial text, narration scripts, and question rationales are written and reviewed by qualified human authors. AI tools may assist in drafting or formatting, but the clinical content is subject to substantive human review before publication, and a human is accountable for it.
What we do not do. We do not present AI-generated material as a real clinical record, a real client, or the statement of a real health professional. We do not use AI to generate personalised clinical advice.
Clinical authority. Our content is prepared against the NCSBN NCLEX-PN test plan and applicable scope-of-practice law. Where a source conflicts with AI-drafted material, the source governs. This platform is educational and is not a substitute for clinical judgement, your employer’s policies, or the directions of a supervising registered nurse or provider.
Errors. AI-generated illustrations can contain mistakes, including incorrect labels. We review images before publication and correct or replace those we find. If you spot something wrong, please tell us — we would rather hear it than have a learner memorise an error.
Security and Retention
We use reasonable technical and operational measures intended to protect platform data, accounts, and educational records. No online system can promise absolute security, but we work to reduce unauthorized access, accidental loss, and service disruption.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain educational records, support learners, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
Children's Privacy
NursingAcademics.com is intended for nursing learners and adult educational use. If you believe personal information has been provided to us improperly, contact support and we will review the request.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform changes. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of the page.
